Veggie Burger


Such a delightful recipe! Has great texture, color and flavor ... you will never miss the REAL taste.





Ingredients:


Mixed beans (black, red, pinto) 2 cups, boiled and drained

Sweet potato 1 large, roasted until soft.

Brown rice 1 cup, cooked

Quick cooking oats 1 ½ cup

Onions 1 medium, chopped

Garlic 2-3 cloves, chopped

Cilantro ¼ cup, chopped

Paprika 2 tsp

Chili powder 1 tsp

Cumin powder 1 tsp

Amchur 1 tsp

Garam Masala 1 tsp

Salt 2 tsp


Method


1) Dry roast the cooked beans to make them less wet.

2) Sauté onions and garlic until soft.

3) In a large bowl add the beans and crush them until soft and mushy.

4) Add rest of the ingredients and mix well. Use a food processor if necessary.

5) Take a handful and shape it into patties.

6) Grill or pan roast the patties until golden brown and crisp on each side. Use a little oil avoid sticking to the pan while cooking the burgers.

7) Serve it on a burger bun with all the fixings!
